SUMMER ACADEMY
Adventure Awaits! is an exciting summer academy where students will learn through exploration, creativity, and hands-on discovery. Students will engage in robotics engineering, virtual reality space exploration, and collaborative enrichment activities designed to build problem-solving, teamwork, and curiosity. The program is open to returning BESD students entering Kindergarten through Grade 6 for the 2026–2027 school year.

MLS GO PROGRAM
Get ready to play, learn, and grow! The Major League Soccer (MLS) Go Youth Soccer Program offers BESD students in grades TK-6 a fun, safe, and no-cost opportunity to build soccer skills, teamwork, and confidence through weekly practices, games, and seasonal clinics. Led by trained coaches in partnership with the Brawley Police Department, this program promotes physical fitness, positive mentorship, and community connection.
CINCO DE MAYO INTERSESSION DAY
Students will engage in hands-on activities that celebrate Mexican culture, including creating colorful crafts, exploring traditional music and dance, and learning about the history of Cinco de Mayo. They will participate in interactive games and collaborative projects that build teamwork and cultural appreciation. Throughout the day, students will connect their learning to real-world traditions while having fun in a festive, engaging environment.
SMART START SATURDAYS
Give your child a boost by registering for Smart Start Saturdays! Students will engage in ELA and Math activities aligned to grade-level standards-all while making up missed days of school. Open to All Kinder - 8th Grade students!
AROUND THE WORLD INTERSESSION DAY
Students will rotate through six different country stations where they will experience hands-on activities inspired by each culture. At each station, students will explore traditions through art, music, games, and interactive learning experiences unique to that country. This engaging journey will help students build global awareness while having fun discovering the diversity of our world.
TROPICAL LUAU INTERSESSION DAY
Students will participate in a variety of fun, hands-on activities inspired by island traditions including a limbo contest, coconut relay, and learning basic hula dance movements. They will create tropical-themed crafts like tiki masks and seashell art while also making their own fruit kebabs to enjoy. In the afternoon, students will cool off and celebrate with water fun including a splash pad to end the day with a fun and refreshing island-style experience.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Register your child for the after school program for the 2025-2026 school year! We offer diverse activities to encourage learning and fun in the afternoons. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your child's after school experience- secure their spot today! Open to students in grades TK through 8th grade at all BESD school sites. Please contact the ASES Lead or ARC Site Coordinator at your child's school for more information.
